Getting around Xela
The school is located in Zone 1, which is the historic part of the city. This part of the city is very walkable. If you need to go to other Zones, such as Zone 3 for Wal-Mart, you can take the public mini-bus transportation called Collectivos for about Q1.25 one way. There are several mini-bus Colletivo stations located throughout Zone 1 that are easy to walk to from the school. If you prefer, taxis are also available for about Q30 – Q45 depending on which Zone you want to go to. Like any big city, when the sun sets it is highly recommended that all students take a taxi to wherever they need to go.
